Contents Summary
A glimpse into the life of two workers subcontracted to work at a crushed stone terminal. The rough Sanya (37) and his accidental teenage companion nicknamed Sparrow (19) are sharing the hardships of thousands of manual workers in present-day Russia. The first problems appear when their salary gets suspended which gradually but efficiently poisons their life. Sparrow can't return home without documents and money and Sanya would want to go but lacks money as well and is sorry to leave Sparrow alone at the plant. So they wait for work and money and while doing so they talk, argue, drink, cry and laugh together, supporting each other on the edge of despair. The ever-present problems and conflicts however cannot kill their hopes for a better future and for their eventual return home.
