Contents Summary
The film follows the Brazilian meat processing industry in the wake of the rise of meat consumption in the country. The demand for always larger output on production lines forces workers to adopt a progressively more rapid routine, implicating the repetition of several movements per minute, leading to countless health problems. Tendinitis, pain, arthrosis, nerve atrophy, joint and spine problems are part of the sector’s professional health problems, many times responsible for incapacitation of several employees and some of them not just for work in the meat processing industry but also any type of work, in relatively young age groups.
