"The Way Up" is the story of Lihan, a homeless lesbian living on the streets. She was adopted at the age of four from a Romanian orphanage by a couple from Israel. The adopted mother was abusive and so at the age of 11 Lihan ran away. Her story exposes the world of homeless youths struggling with drug abuse, lack of shelter, and looking for a way out.
