Contents Summary
Only 67 kilometers separate the towns of Lod and Tlamim, but their residents are a world apart divided by vast national, cultural, and ideological differences. A school program with the aim to bridge gaps in Israeli society, facilitates a meeting of sixth grade students from a secular school in the city of Lod and a religious school in the settlement of Tlamim. The film focuses on two girls who become friends online. Samar, who is 12 years old, lives in Lod and has an Arab-Israeli mother and a Palestinian father from the Occupied Territories. Linor, who is 11, was born to a settler family in the Gaza Strip, and now lives in a religious settlement in Tlamim, the Lachish region. While the two girls represent the extremes of the differences in the Israeli society, a spark is ignited in their encounters online and a friendship is born. But when they have the opportunity to meet, their families enter into a profound and complex dilemma.
