This film explores an African community in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou through the turbulent story of an underground church founded by Nigerian missionary Daniel Michael Enyeribe. The church was frowned upon by the authorities and several police raids made its functioning difficult. Ignatius Uwa, the acting head of the Guangzhou church, and his Chinese wife, Xiao Yi, struggle to hold together both their African congregation and the African-run Chinese house churches. With the start of the Beijing Olympic Games however the police raid the church once again and padlock its doors.
