Scope and content (abstract)
The series contains materials related to the grant-giving activity of the International Foundation Cultural Initiative (IFCI) and covers all programs. Grants were made not only to individuals but also to collectives of authors, to bodies such as schools, universities, research institutes and archives, and to publications such as magazines and newspapers. Grants were intended to provide financial support to different institutions and to lead to tangible results. Thus, IFCI supported the organization of seminars and conferences, different research projects, the production of documentary films, the publication of books and encyclopedias, newspapers and magazines, as well as technical support for the institutions mentioned. Most of the files contain grant applications including project descriptions and related materials such as applicants' CVs, correspondence and lists of material support provided to each grantee, and also reports on results and the use of the grants. Some files contain tangible results such as textbooks, newspapers or magazines.
