Contents Summary
Asking teenagers what is on their mind is in most cases an unfavorable question since they rarely offer full-disclosure of their thoughts and rarely give honest answers. It is even harder to establish what is in the mind of the teenagers who are also juvenile offenders. In order to penetrate their world and get behind their masks, the filmmaker creates an acting workshop, hires a professional teacher to help them explore their personal experiences, and gives them a chance to speak for themselves. The result is “Acting Out,” a film about juvenile offenders and their inner thoughts.
