Contents Summary
Hichigh is one of the world's highest inhabitated villages in the Pamir mountains (Tajikistan). Pamir is one of the most unknown regions in the world, as mysterious as fascinating, home of some of the most ancient and well kept traditions in the world. The film follows the dusk of a village bound to disappear, just before it becomes a ghost village, just before its stones and mud houses become part of the mountain again. This film marks the first collaboration between Carlos Casas and American composer and filmmaker legend Phill Niblock.
