In 1995, Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori announced before Congress the start of a National Family Planning Program, a program that aimed to improve the reproductive health of people. However, three years later, articles began to appear in the diaries of the first cases of what appeared to be not a Family Planning Program but forced sterilization campaigns and women, victims of these methods, began to speak.
