Summary

Who owns the highways? When totally uncontrolled foreign direct investment and multinational Indian companies take over the road with heavy funding for construction and expansion the question of who owns the land becomes relevant. Do the villagers who were robbed of their fields own it? What about the school children? Currently there are 15 million displaced people due to road expansion. When the houses and trees are bulldozed along with the deities, many human rights are at stake for the underprivileged and powerless in India.
