- This is the story of the people of Angulana, Sri Lanka. For six months out of the year, the sea brings them hope; they make their living catching fish offshore. But in the other six months, during the monsoon, they must struggle for survival. Houses are washed away every year. Fishing is life-threatening in the monsoon conditions, and there is no other way to earn a living. They are enslaved by the sea.
