- The film tells two parallel stories. Hervor’s story is from Sweden and Gamedze’s story from South Africa. The two women have never met or spoken to each other, but in the film they are involved in a dialogue, they have a conversation about the power of history and the situation of women, about memories of oppression, starvation and the birth of democracy.
