Contents/Summary

Summary
'Drawing Memories' is a documentary made in Huancavelica, a Quechuan city in Peru. The region was vastly affected by the armed conflict between the Maoist ideologists and the army, a conflict that devastated Peru from 1980 to 2000. More than 60000 people are estimated to have been killed or presumed dead as a result of the fighting. 'Drawing Memories' aims to come to terms with devastating realities like this in order to break the silence and help people preserve the collective memory in a way that allows them to progress and look to the future.
