Notes
The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

Contents Summary
ORIGINAL CAPTION: Glamour through the Iron Curtain - The most popular actress-singer-comedienne in Hungary works in Munich -- at the European headquarters of Radio Free Europe. Born, bred and trained in Budapest, Györgyi Simon starred in eight films and seven stage shows before fleeing Hungary in 1945, just before the Russian occupation. She joined Radio Free Europe in 1951 after six years of sage, film and night-club work in Vienna and Paris. Györgyi regularly receives fan mail from Hungary (smuggled out or sent to Radio Free Europe cover addresses), much of which contains requests for special songs and plays.
