Summary

Assiya Baigozhina's documentary titled '1986. December Chronicles. A Glimmer of the Truth' is based on authentic testimonies of protesters who took to Kazakhstan’s main square in December 1986. Baigozhina also contacted 27 former Soviet officials, from a retired KGB colonel to the former secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, who all refused to be interviewed for the film.
