Scope and content (abstract)
This series contains financial records of the Foundation between 1968 and 1990. FEIE kept financial records related to credits, debits, bank statements and files related to the expenses of various activities such as the book distribution program and grants. The series also includes correspondence between the Foundation and various banks: Credit du Nord, Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP), Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), Banque de l`Union Européenne, and Deutsche Bank. Each year between 1978 and 1987 Cash Desk files were kept. At the end of the series account books from the period between 1974 and 1988 are placed.

The series is arranged chronologically by financial years. In each year, the records related to credits, debits, cash desk, etc. have been separated by the originator. The arrangment of the files follows the original order and filing scheme applied by the originator.

The series contains mainly printed invoices issued by banks and tenuous onion skin paper copies issued by the Foundation.
