The exhibition of Galeria Centralis Freeze Frames of Communism (October 21 - December 18, 1998) provided a comprehensive view of the various types of diafilm (35 mm film slides) in Hungary.

Several dozens of diafilm were be presented in their original form, with squeaky-smelly projectors, as well as with the use of modern computer and computer related technology, giving a new and unexpected twist to this old and almost forgotten genre, that was extensively used for ideological indoctrination in Hungary throughout the Communist period.

Appraisal, destruction and scheduling information
Following the processing of both the hard copy and digital (or digitized) records of the exhibition, they will be accessible for research at OSA's Research Room. The collection is to contain other materials as well, those that were assembled by the curators during the research period of the exhibition, and also the ones that document the exhibition itself.
