Scope and content (abstract)
This series consists of those newspapers that Hegedüs preserved in their complete form. He saved them for their intrinsic interest, for instance because he opposed their content or intellectual orientation, or because they discussed issues of obvious importance. In some cases it is not clear which article made him decide to preserve the whole issue. In other cases it was apparently the publications` uniqueness or peculiarity, or the difficulty of obtaining it in Hungary, that induced him to preserve it (as in the case of "Social Sciences in China"). Some of the newspapers had a single profile, like "Friedenzeitung", which focused exclusively on the peace movements. The majority of the complete newspapers date from the years of political transition. The group contains both Hungarian and foreign language publications. The newspapers are arranged in the alphabetical order of their titles.
