- Kasisi, an orphanage in Zambia, takes in starving and ill children, unwanted and often on the verge of death. For many of them, the orphanage run by Polish missionaries is a last resort. One of these children is Francis, a young boy with HIV. The disease soon begins to take its toll on Francis’ health and the nuns must persuade him to fight for his survival.
