- On the 30th anniversary of the 1968 revolution in Czechoslovakia the exhibition places the reforms in Prague in the context of the events that took place world-wide in 1968. Thus, it focuses on events that have been forgotten, or details newly discovered about this last attempt to create a socialist utopia in Europe.
- Scope and Content (Narrative)
- The lost world of Prague Spring was brought to life in this multimedia exhibition which included rare photographs, archival materials, newsreels from Eastern and Western sources, contemporary films, but also music and posters. The barricades of Paris' Latin Quarter, Polish police forces brutally crushing student demonstrations in Poland, and the battles fought in Vietnam and elsewhere in the Third World in 1968 serve as a backdrop for the events in Prague. In addition, OSA’s exhibition refutes the legend of the bloodless invasion of Czechoslovakia, the fable of János Kádár's unwillingness to take part, and will critically examine the mythology of "Prague Spring" and "Prague Fall".
In connection with OSA’s exhibition a downtown cinema called Örökmozgó was showing rarely seen Hungarian and Czech new wave films. The program was curated by OSA’s Audio-Visual Archivists.

- A prágai tavasz 30. évfordulóján a Nyílt Társadalom Archívum (Open Society Archives, OSA Archívum) Centrális Galériája kiállítása az 1968-as forradalmi év kontextusába helyezte az 1968-as csehszlovák forradalmat. A kiállítás célja, hogy levéltári forrásokra támaszkodva központba állítsa a szocialista utópia utolsó nagy kísérletének újonnan felkutatott vagy feledésbe merült részleteit.
- Tárgy és tartalom (Narratív)
- A multimédia kiállításon ritka fényképek, levéltári iratok és kiadványok, korabeli filmhíradók, propaganda filmek és plakátok mutatják be a "prágai tavasz" világát. A kiállítás cáfolja a vértelen csehszlovákiai bevonulás, a „baráti segítségnyújtás” legendáját, Kádár János állítólagos vonakodását, és kritkusan vizsgálja a "prágai tavasz" és a "prágai ősz" kommunista-szocialista mitológiáját. A felemelő, majd brutálisan vérbe fojtott prágai események háttereként a párizsi Latin negyed barikádjai szolgálnak; felvázolva az 1968-as nyugat-európai és amerikai diákmozgalmak eszmei hátterét és eseményeit, és ízelítőt kaphatnak a lengyel diáktüntetésekből is.
A kiállításhoz kapcsolódva ritkán látható, illetve lejárt vetítési jogú cseh újhullámos és magyar filmeket, valamint korabeli magyar, osztrák és orosz filmhíradókat mutatott be az Örökmozgó 1998. szeptember 11 és 15 között. A program kurátorai az OSA AV részlegének munkatársai voltak.
